The first top ten poll of high school football teams in the 2019 season is out by the Associated Press. Looking at teams in the area in Class 6A, Maryville is second and Bradley Central is eighth. In Class 4A, Anderson County is fifth while Livingston Academy just barely is out of the top 10. In Class 3A, Loudon is eighth. In Class 2A, Meigs County is tied for second. Finally in Class 1A, Coalfield is ninth with Clay County just outside the top ten.
