There will be two threats of severe weather coming up. One will be late tomorrow and the other will be Saturday, I will keep you updated on our 3 B Media radio stations as all types of severe weather may be possible so stay tuned. Otherwise off and on rain will be the story through Wednesday night and then we start to get a break on Thursday but showers and storms will be back on Saturday to start the new year. Much colder weather begins to move in Sunday and Monday and there could be a snow shower sometime Sunday evening. Lots to talk about in the coming days and I will be in the weather office watching like an eagle.

Very strong upper-level winds and a jet stream over the United States right now is partly helping create this very active weather and may bring severe storms in the coming days. A Delta Airliner traveling from Los Angeles to Boston last night only took four and a half hours because of the very strong Westerly wind but another jet traveling from Boston to Los Angeles took 7 hours because they were flying into the jet stream.
