Lots to talk about! We have a flash flood watch from 1 a.m. Thursday till 1 a.m. Friday. Showers and thunderstorms could occur anytime Thursday and Thursday night but the prime time for severe weather looks to be 5 to 10 p.m. So we’re looking at a late afternoon and early nighttime event. All types of severe weather are possible including tornadoes. The highest risk of severe weather will be toward Nashville and near the Alabama Tennessee Border but severe weather could occur anywhere in middle and East Tennessee or Southern Kentucky. I will keep you updated every hour through the afternoon and evening Thursday so stay tuned and please think about what you would do if I tell you there is a warning in effect and severe weather is coming. Take shelter in your home away from the tallest trees because they can be a danger to your home and to you. We will see some clearing on Friday and close to 70 degrees but we go right back to shower and thunderstorm chances this weekend.
