SEVIER COUNTY HAS TWO SMALL EARTHQUAKES WITHIN THREE MINUTES
The U.S. Geological Service says two small earthquakes were recorded in Sevier County this afternoon. At 1:31 p.m., a 2.2 magnitude earthquake happened 3.1 miles west of Sevierville. Three minutes later, a 1.7 magnitude earthquake happened 3.1 miles west, northwest of Sevierville. Officials say a 2.0 is felt only by a few at best, especially on upper floors of buildings.
