A notice on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission was put up today to warn citizens of a recall for Shawshank LEDz Squeeze Plush Ball Monsters Toys due to the possibility of injury.

The squeeze ball toys, sold exclusively at Ace Hardware from March 2024 through July 2024, contain a liquid and glitter combination inside a thick membrane, that could rupture and splash onto a child’s face and/or body and possibly injure the child.

The USCPSC received two reports, one involving a child having to have their eyes flushed out by a medical professional to remove glitter.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the Squeeze Plush Ball Monster Squeezable and Easter Squeezable toys, and return the toys to the store for a full refund of $5 in cash. If unable to return the recalled product, users can contact Shawshank for a postage-paid label to return their toys via mail for a full refund of $5 in the form of a check.
