SHOOTING INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARREST IN CLEVELAND
From the Cleveland Police Department:
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers with the Cleveland Police Department responded to a report of gunfire at 920 25th Street NW. Officers located a white male victim lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers immediately rendered aid until EMS personnel arrived and transported the victim, identified as David “Brody” Bishop to a local hospital.
Witnesses at the scene provided officers with a description of the suspect and the suspect vehicle. Witnesses reported that a white male driving a maroon Lexus sedan equipped with large chrome wheels entered the parking lot and briefly interacted with a group gathered there. According to witness statements, the suspect then brandished a handgun, discharged one round into the air, and subsequently fired a round at Bishop at close range.
Witnesses identified the suspect as Cameron Cox. Officers located Cox in his vehicle shortly thereafter on the onramp of APD 40 at 20th Streetand detained him. Following interviews conducted by Cleveland Police Department investigators, Cox was charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.
Cox was transported to the Bradley County Justice Center for booking.
