SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED MIDWEEK

Rain chances increase Wednesday afternoon and night, with more storms possible Thursday before conditions trend drier into the weekend.

Wednesday: A chance of showers before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10am and 2pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 64. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Thursday: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
