SIGNAL MOUNTAIN DRUG BUST REMOVES MORE THAN A POUND OF METH AND FENTANYL

Narcotics Agents from the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the 12th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Dunlap Police Department, concluded a drug investigation with a search warrant service at 27 Old Miller Rd, Signal Mtn., TN, on April 12, 2023. The result of the search was the discovery and seizure of approx. 569 grams (roughly one and one-quarter pounds) of suspected methamphetamine worth a street value of more than $23,000.00, 68 suspected fentanyl pills, two firearms, drug paraphernalia, and $3,326.00 in cash. The following people were charged in relation to this investigation:

  Sheriff Bill Phillips stated this is by far the largest meth bust in this county to his knowledge and he is extremely proud of the effort and the work the men and women of his agency and the partner agencies are doing. Phillips pointed out that one jar was found with “gummies” soaking in suspected methamphetamine and he is glad this poison is in safe keeping rather than being spread to kids throughout the community. “The work these men and women in law enforcement are doing is vital to the well-being and the futures of our citizens. This bust is just an example of what they do every day to strive for the safety of those in our community. I’m proud of the progress they have made and I’m proud to do what I can to support them”, the Sheriff concluded.
