SMITH AND EVERETT ARRESTED IN RHEA COUNTY AFTER ARREST WARRANT SERVED

Detectives with the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit served an arrest warrant Wednesday at America’s Best Value Inn room #109 in Dayton.
During the arrest of James Dylan Smith for active warrants out of Rhea County for violation of probation and criminal impersonation, detectives reportedly noticed drug equipment and packaging in plain view inside the room.
During the investigation, the following narcotics, firearm, and U.S. currency were seized:
Fentanyl – 21.4 grams (street value of $4280)
Methamphetamine – 57.4 gams (street value of $5740)
Marijuana- 20.1 grams (street value of $200)
Hi-Point 9mm handgun
$239 in U.S. currency
Smith and Chloe Renee Everett were arrested and charged following the investigation.
Smith is a convicted felon out of Rhea County for aggravated burglary. He is currently on active probation for methamphetamine possession.
