SMITH AND WESSON OPENS TRAINING ACADEMY IN MARYVILLE

Smith and Wesson recently opened a new training academy in Maryville marking a significant expansion of their training services for both professionals and the public. The facility replaces the company’s previous academy in Springfield, Massachusetts, which closed in 2017 and was renowned for training law enforcement, military personnel, and civilians.
After relocating their headquarters to East Tennessee in 2023, Smith and Wesson decided to revive the academy, offering free classes to law enforcement and military personnel, as well as courses for civilians ranging from beginners to experts. The academy, led by retired U.S. Navy SEAL Mark Cochoilo, a highly experienced firearms training expert, features specialized areas such as a pistol range, flex range, rifle range, and a shoot house.
