SNOW ADVISORY
- Winter Weather Advisory in effect for parts of the Upper Cumberland from 12 AM through 9 AM Tuesday morning (Clay, Pickett, Overton, Putnam, Fentress, and Cumberland Counties)
- Around 1″ of snow is expected in that area, with up to 2″ possible in a few spots
- Snow accumulation will mainly be on grassy and elevated surfaces, but a few roads (especially bridges and overpasses) may become slick overnight
- For the rest of Middle Tennessee, a dusting to 1/2″ of snow is possible overnight
- Only minor, if any, impacts on roads are anticipated, although a few bridges and overpasses could become slick in spots
- Very cold temperatures are expected on Tuesday through Wednesday morning
- Strong northwest winds overnight into Tuesday morning will drop temperatures into the 20s, with wind chills in the teens and single digits
- Highs only in the 20s and low 30s on Tuesday afternoon, but sunny skies are expected which will help melt any remaining ice or snow
- Lows in the teens Wednesday morning
