SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS SHOWS TEENS IN KKK COSTUMES ON HALLOWEEN IN FENTRESS CO.

Several social media posts went viral soon after some teens dressed up as KKK members appeared at least two areas in Jamestown. The video was posted late Halloween night with the caption, “teens dressed as KKK in Jamestown, Tennessee.”

Law enforcement there says there is no investigation into the incident and no crime was committed. Authorities say it was a distasteful costume worn by some teenagers.

Jamestown Mayor Lyndon Baines went further with a comment. “The City of Jamestown does not condone the actions taken by the folks dressed in the offensive costume. The citizens of Jamestown are not that way. There are several different races that live in Jamestown. We don’t want anyone thinking people in our town are racist, we’re not.”
