The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist was killed in an accident yesterday afternoon in Rhea County. The report released this morning states a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle operated by 22-year-old Chase Thompson of Spring City was traveling north on Highway 68 just outside of Spring City when he left the road in a curve. The motorcycle struck a guard rail ejecting Thompson. The motorcycle came to rest on the road. Thompson, who had a helmet on at the time of the crash, passed away from injuries sustained.
