STABBING REPORTED IN LOUDON COUNTY; SUSPECT TRIES TO JUMP OFF BRIDGE

(DEVELOPING STORY) – Loudon County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1600 block of Old Highway 95 in Lenoir City this morning to a stabbing.

Officers found the suspect a mile away threatening to jump from a bridge on I-75. After negotiating, deputies were able to take him into custody.

Interstate 75 was closed in both directions at the scene for nearly an hour.

The victim was transported to U.T. Medical Center in stable condition.

Charges are pending against the assailant.
