STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHUTTERS ITS MEASLES HOTLINE
The Tennessee Department of Health has shut down its measles hotline after about two and a half weeks of operation. It ceased operations at 4:30 Eastern time this afternoon.
The hotline had been established April 18 to field questions about the measles from the public after a case was confirmed in East Tennessee.
There have now been five confirmed cases of measles in the state, all within the past few weeks.
The TDH says those with questions about measles should contact a healthcare provider or their local health department.
