STATE STILL UNDER EMERGENCY DECLARATION AFTER MORE WEEKEND RAIN

According to the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, the state of Tennessee is still under a state of emergency due to flooding from the past weeks’ rain, and the promise of more rain in the forecast this week. The state of emergency has been in place since last Saturday.

TEMA said the state has recorded four weather-related deaths in the past five weeks. Two of those were in East Tennessee.

The agency has established a Cleanup Help Line to aid flood survivors with free home and property debris cleanup. The toll-free number to call is 1-833-556-2576.

If you have damage or need help with flood-related repairs to your home, contact your county emergency management agency. For a list of county EMA contacts by region, click here.

TEMA also encourages homeowners to keep track of damage by taking pictures and saving receipts for any repairs.
