Inmate Stephen West was executed last night by the State of Tennessee. West was pronounced dead at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville after being electrocuted in the electric chair. West was convicted of murdering a mother and her 15-year-old daughter in 1986. West is also accused of raping the teen. West repeatedly denied he killed them, claiming his then 17-year-old accomplice killed 51-year-old Wanda Romines and her 15-year-old daughter, Sheila. This the fifth execution in Tennessee since late 2018.
