Steven (Steve) R. McCarty, age 71 of Harriman passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.  He was a member of Beech Park Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir. He was retired from Y-12 after 42+ years of employment.  Steve was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding. He dearly loved his Harley bikes and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Edmonds McCarty.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela of Harriman;

Son, Steven “Todd” McCarty, and fiancé, Amy Lee;

Three sisters, Gail (Doug) Turpin, Lynn Bowling, and Carol (Darren) Westbrook

Grandson, James Lee;

Aunts and Uncles, Eleanor Edmonds, Betty Thornton, and Rev. Billy Edmonds;

And very special nieces and nephews along with many other family members and good friends, including his Y-12 Family.

Cremation was chosen with no services planned.
