STORM CHANCES WILL CONTINUE

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon through early evening hours Thursday and Friday.
Damaging straight line winds will be the main concerns.

Afternoon heat index values will be around 100 degrees Thursday and Friday afternoons for locations east and west of the Cumberland Plateau.

The unsettled weather with scattered afternoon thunderstorms returned on Tuesday and continued today and I expect it to be with us right on through Saturday. A few of these storms could become quite heavy with Gusty wind and lots of lightning. Outside of the storm areas it will be hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. We could get more moisture next week from a tropical system that would bring moisture from the Gulf and highs mostly in the 80s next week.
