Responding to reports of a roof blowing off a house, Blount County deputies found a whole lot more than storm damage Friday morning.

They found plenty of debris and metal roofing scattered about the yard of a Misty Mountain Drive home in Maryville; the metal roof had also been peeled back from one section of the home.

But that’s not all they discovered.

Inside the home police found six adults, along with illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain sight. They also found a 2-year-old girl whose diaper bag was stuffed with baggies of heroin and needles. The girl was removed from the home and placed in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services.

Four Maryville residents were arrested (and another Maryville woman cited) after narcotics agents found crystal meth, heroin and other narcotics.

Oliver Thomas Hicks, age 50, was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (crystal meth) for resale and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin) for resale. Hicks is being held on $160,000 bond.

Katherine McRee Collins, age 36, was charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance (Suboxone) and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (crystal meth). She is being held on $18,000 bond.

Erica Lynn Pelfrey, age 29, was charged with child abuse and neglect; she was also cited for simple possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin). In addition, she is being held on two warrants for failure to appear in court on prior charges. She is being held on $10,000 bond on the drug charge, and without bond on the warrants.

Saprina Marie Correll, age 36, was taken into custody on warrants for felony violation of probation and failure to appear. She is being held without bond.

Susan M. Decker, age 60, was cited for simple possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin) and released.

All four in custody are due in Blount County General Sessions Court Wednesday morning at 9. Correll is also scheduled to appear in court again on the 15th.

An investigation is ongoing, and additional charges could be filed.
