Sue P. Kelly, age 83, of Rockwood, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2026.

Sue spent ten years as a hairstylist before beginning a long and devoted career with Roane County Schools, where she served as a Cafeteria Manager for forty years. She was known for her steady work ethic, her kindness, and the way she cared for the students she served each day. Sue was of Baptist faith and carried that faith quietly and sincerely throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, F.B. Patterson and Imogene Patterson, and by her husband, William Lee Kelly.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Lisa and Chuck Jolly of Franklin, TN; her sister, Freda Ramey of Ten Mile, TN; her brother and sister‑in‑law, Charles and Anne Kerr of Harriman, TN; and Carol Kelly of Oakdale, TN. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Terry Patterson, Rhonda Bonfini, Marilyn Rich, Jason Patterson, Ralph Ramey, Missy Eblen, Tammy Bright, Becky Spearman, and Philip Kelly, Jr.

She leaves behind special friends who were dear to her heart: Gaye and Mike Webster, Regina Webster, and Kathy & Gary Newby.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. ET at Midway Cemetery Saturday, September 26th, with Chaplain Cal Adams of the Roane County Sheriff’s Department officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, or that a memorial tree be planted in Sue’s honor. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is serving the Kelly Family.
