There were some big thunderstorms around the region today with a few of them producing 2 inches of rain in around an hour. The heaviest activity around Cumberland County was from Fairfield Glade down into the Homestead area and Lake Tansi. A houseboat was overturned on Lake Cumberland in Southern Kentucky as a severe storm moved through this afternoon. Any storms that pop up on Tuesday are mostly going to be south of I-40 as drier air comes in from the north. Wednesday and Thursday get set for hot and sunny with temperatures hitting 90 or above just about everywhere across Tennessee and Kentucky.
