The warming trend continues Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday brings highs in the lower 80s on the Cumberland Plateau and middle 80s in the Tennessee Valley. Thursday will be the warmest day of the period, reaching the middle 80s in both regions. Sunshine remains plentiful, and nighttime temperatures become milder as lows climb into the lower to middle 60s by Thursday night.

The dry stretch begins to break down late Thursday night as a small chance for showers develops. Friday turns partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of showers on the Cumberland Plateau and a 40 percent chance in the Tennessee Valley. Highs remain warm, reaching the lower 80s on the plateau and middle 80s in the valley, with additional showers possible Friday night.
