Regional Forecast — Cumberland Plateau & Tennessee Valley
After a stormy start to the week, a stretch of dry weather and gradually warming temperatures settles across the Cumberland Plateau and Tennessee Valley.
Monday: Partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing during the afternoon. Patchy fog possible early. Highs around 79 to 83. Calm winds becoming northwest around 5 mph. Chance of rain 50 to 60 percent. A cluster of thunderstorms may move in from the northwest during the afternoon and evening. Some storms could become strong to severe, with damaging winds up to 65 mph and hail up to 1 to 1.5 inches possible.
Monday Night: A slight chance of evening showers and thunderstorms, then clearing overnight. Lows around 55 to 59. Light north winds becoming calm. Chance of rain 20 to 30 percent.
Tuesday: Sunny and less humid. Highs around 77 to 80. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph in some locations.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear with patchy fog possible toward daybreak in some areas. Lows around 51 to 54. Light north winds becoming calm.
Wednesday: Patchy morning fog in a few locations, otherwise sunny. Highs around 77 to 79. Light winds becoming east to northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear. Lows around 54 to 55. Light winds.
Thursday: Sunny. Highs around 79 to 82. Light winds becoming west to southwest around 5 mph in some areas.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear. Lows around 57 to 58.
