Susan Denise White, 62
Susan Denise White born August 19, 1963 arrived at her heavenly home on May 1, 2026. Having made her reservation for a mansion in the sky at the age of 10 by accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior she was confident and eager to arrive.
Susan often looked forward to her first day in heaven saying “First I want to see Jesus.” She then expressed a host of loved ones she wanted to meet on that heavenly shore gone on before her. Susan was longing for where no goodbyes are spoken again to her mother Vera Etta Bridges White, father Billy Martin White, Granny Janie Bridges, brother Timothy Wade White, a very special cousin Jason Hollon and a host of other grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Susan spent most of her career in banking with Bank of Roane County, Union Planters, and ORNL Credit Union. Ever the friendly talkative person she simply wanted to brighten the day of everyone she met and share the goodness of God. As her health declined and she was unable to work she continued this witness at her many doctors appointments and with friends online.
Susan loved to take photos of family, her dog Emmi, and God’s handiwork in the smoky mountains, the beach, or her front yard. She was always the family photographer reminding us to line up for every type of occasion. It is these photos that will allow us to hold onto many precious memories.
Susan’s crossing over Jordan leaves behind her sister Billie White Beach (husband Chuck), nieces Natalie Braden (husband Chris), Nicole Melhorn (husband Mitchell), great nieces and nephews Riley and Hunter Braden, Connor (wife Leslie), Keegan, and Katie Melhorn. Special cousins David & Sharon, Paul & Evelyn, and Greg Hollon who were more like brothers, sisters, and a nephew in Susan’s eyes. Louise Shillings, her dearest friend, came into her life right when she needed her most. Their adventures and friendship helped bring laughter throughout the years.
While we mourn the loss of Susan’s presence on this earth we rejoice to know she is no longer in pain and we will meet again.
Per Susan’s request there will be no services. The family asks that as a remembrance of Susan you find the same assurance she so boldly shared and seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior.
