The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is warning the public about a current wave of scam text messages falsely claiming to be from the nonexistent “Tennessee Department of Transportation Judicial Court.”

The texts allege that the recipient has unpaid parking fines and attempt to trick people into clicking links or responding. TDOT, along with the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, urges everyone to ignore these messages, avoid clicking on any links, and not reply.

The recommended action is to simply report the texts as spam and delete them.
