TENNESSEE DEATH ROW INMATE PLEADS FOR CLEMENCY FROM GOVERNOR

An inmate on Tennessee’s Death Row is begging Governor Bill Lee to spare his life. Stephen West is scheduled to be executed this month, but in a clemency petition, West claims that he did not fatally stab his mother and her daughter in 1986. He says that the real murders were committed by Ronnie Martin, who was 17-years-of-age at the that time. West is set to undergo lethal injection on August 15.
