TENNESSEE MAN ARRESTED IN ALABAMA ON CHILD EXPLOITATION CHARGES

A 54-year-old man from Loretto, Tennessee, named James Eddy, was arrested in Athens, Alabama, on child exploitation charges following an undercover investigation by the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office. Eddy allegedly contacted what he believed to be a juvenile male through social media, but the account was operated by investigators.
During these interactions, he reportedly sent obscene and sexually explicit material and solicited child sexual abuse material. He was apprehended on Monday afternoon as he left a business on North Jefferson Street in Athens and now faces charges of transmitting obscene material to a child. The sheriff’s office is seeking additional information from the public regarding this case.
