TENNESSEE MOTOCROSS COACH FEDERALLY INDICTED ON CHILD PORNOGRAPHY-RELATED CHARGES

A motocross coach in Hamilton County has been federally indicted on child pornography-related charges. Andrew Ryan Meyung, 30, was arrested in December on several counts, including three counts of rape and two counts of aggravated kidnapping. According to affidavits, after his first arrest, Meyung traveled around the country and stayed at the homes of friends, many of whom had children. It was some of those children who were sexually abused, according to the affidavits. Meyung has past and present connections with several youth-oriented organizations and youth ministries. These connections required Meyung to travel all across the United States, including to Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) says Meyung was indicted for “multiple child exploitation offenses.”

A DoJ news release says Meyung engaged six different minor victims in sexually explicit conduct to produce images of child sexual abuse, and transported and possessed visual images of child sexual abuse. The alleged crimes occurred between 2019 and 2021
