TENNESSEE TECH STUIDENTS TESTS NEGATIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS

Doctors now say a Tennessee Tech University student tested for Coronavirus does not have the disease.

Tennessee Tech President Phil Oldham issued the following statement:

“We are so glad to hear this student is on the road to recovery. The cooperation and communication with local health providers and leaders was amazing, and I appreciate how Tennessee Tech’s Health Services personnel were prepared to take the right actions.”

The students recent travel history met the criteria for testing for possible infection after the student displayed symptoms of the Coronavirus. The student was under quarantine at Cookeville Regional Hospital while doctors awaited the test results.
