Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced yesterday the state will be increasing COVID-19 testing next week at assisted living facilities in the state. Health officials want to ensure more than 70,000 of Tennessee’s most vulnerable residents are tested out of precaution. The announcement came shortly after a nursing home in McMinn County, Life Care Center of Athens, announced two of its residents died after an outbreak of COVID-19 infected 70 residents and staff.
