Investigators with the District Attorney General’s Office, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the Monterey Police Department began to investigate allegations that 29-year-old Jeffery Lynn Tollett, Jr. and 26-year-old Victoria Nichole Young had engaged in sexual acts with a child.

Both are residents of Monterey in Putnam County.

Two days ago (July 12, 2021), the results of the investigation were presented to a grand jury.  They found probable cause Tollett and Young had allegedly committed criminal acts.  The grand jury indicted both on three counts of aggravated rape of a child and one count of aggravated child abuse.

Both Tollett and Young were arrested yesterday and booked into the Putnam County Jail. The investigation is on-going. Because of the nature of these charges, the public is asked to contact the District Attorney’s office if you aware of any other potential victims.
