TONIA WYATT WINS SMHS TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD
From the SMHS Facebook page:
“Stone Memorial High School would like to recognize Mrs. Tonia Wyatt as their 2024-25 teacher of the year. Mrs. Wyatt has taught at SMHS for 6 years and has 11 total years of teaching experience in Cumberland County. She teaches Algebra I, serves as the Student Council sponsor and is co-sponsor of the freshmen class. Mrs. Wyatt’s success in the classroom is due in large part to her amazing ability to reach all learners as she builds relationships with students.
SMHS would also like to recognize Mrs. Sharon Garrett as their 2024-25 non-certified employee of the year. Mrs. Garrett has worked for Cumberland County Schools for 25 years with the last 17 years being at SMHS. She is currently the bookkeeper but also worked in the attendance office for years. Mrs. Garrett works closely with faculty, staff, and students to meet daily needs and ensure that SMHS continues to be accountable and accurate in its financial responsibilities.
