Funeral Services for Tony Farley, age 86, of the Phifer Mountain Community, will be conducted on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Floyd will officiate with interment to follow in the Sand Springs Memorial Gardens. Mr. Farley was born on Tuesday, January 23, 1940, in the Phifer Mountain Community, to the late JT Farley and Bessie Finley Farley. Mr. Farley passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at his home. Mr. Farley was a retired handle maker working with Cookeville Handle Company for 30 plus years. He was a loving husband and father. He was a big “cut up” and a hardworking man that was always willing to help others. He was a Christian and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and Monterey Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Earlene Laycox Farley of the Phifer Mountain Community; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda “Nett” and Kelly Neal of the Phifer Mountain Community; daughter-in-law, Lisa Farley of Algood, TN; sister, Aline Bryant of the Phifer Mountain Community; brother, Larry Farley of Florida; brother-in-law, Taylor Mansell of Cookeville, TN; and a host of many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Farley; sister, Christine Mansell; brother-in-law, James “Corky” Bryant; and an infant brother.
