TOYOTA RECALLS OVER 591,000 VEHICLES FOR SYSTEM GLITCH

Toyota has issued a recall for approximately 591,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a malfunction in the infotainment system, affecting models such as the Venza, Crown, Crown Signia, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, Grand Highlander, Tacoma, Highlander, and certain Lexus LS, RX, and TX models.
The issue involves the 12.3-inch display screen, which may fail to activate when the vehicle is started or shut down unexpectedly while driving, posing potential safety risks. Toyota will notify affected owners by mid-November, offering a free software update or replacement at dealerships.
Additionally, Toyota recalled 95,000 electric vehicles, including 2023-25 Toyota bZ4X, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterra models, due to a defective defroster that could impair visibility. Owners can verify if their vehicle is affected by checking Toyota.com/recall or NHTSA.gov/recalls using their vehicle identification number or license plate, or by contacting Toyota’s customer support at 1-800-331-4331.
