TRACTOR-TRAILER DRIVER ARRESTED ON METH CHARGE FOLLOWING ACCIDENT ON I-40 IN PUTNAM CO.
A single vehicle accident on I-40 in Putnam County Wednesday resulted in the driver’s arrest. Trooper Michael Robertson says a 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer operated by 47-year-old Adrian Woodard of Gallatin was traveling east at the 295 mile marker of I-40 when the vehicle left the road and hit a guardrail. The tractor-trailer then came back across I-40 and hit a concrete barrier. Woodard was not hurt in the crash but charged with DUI, possession of meth and failure to exercise due care.
