TRAFFIC STOP IN MONTEREY TURNS INTO DRUG BUST
From the Monterey Police Department:
On 10/29/2025, Monterey Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on the on ramp of I-40 W MM301 for a registration violation. Officers began an investigation and during the investigation noticed suspicious behavior among the occupants. Officers gained consent to search the vehicle and quickly located drug paraphernalia and a large amount of small baggies known in the sale of drugs.
Officers than found approximately 7 Grams of what is believed methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl concealed in a zipper pouch with a scale. Both individuals were charged with Manufacture, Sale, Delivery of Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Schedule II Substance x3. The driver was also charged with Driving While License Suspended. Both subjects are each being held on a $180,000 Bond.
