TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST IN PUTNAM COUNTY

On March 9, 2023, Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-40. As deputies activated their lights, they observed multiple bags thrown from the passenger’s window of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Spiros Stephen Lianos and the passenger was identified as Angela June Stafford. Deputies recovered the items thrown from the vehicle as well as conducted a search of the vehicle resulting in approximately 2 ounces of Methamphetamine, approximately 7 grams of heroin, and approximately 6 grams of marijuana being seized.
 Stafford was charged with Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of Methamphetamine, Manufacture, Sell, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Fabricating/Tampering with Evidence, Contraband in a Penal Facility, Simple Possession, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Stafford has a bond of $91,000 and a court date of March 15, 2023.
Lianos was charged with Violation of Probation and Driving on a Revoked License. Her bond was set at $3,000.
