TROOPERS: TWO DEAD FOLLOWING MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 111

The Dunlap Fire Department and Sequatchie County medics responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 8/111 near the McGlothen Cemetery on top of Cagle Mountain yesterday. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2017 Chevy Spark driven by 39-year-old Priscilla Williamson of Chattanooga was traveling north when she crossed over the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming 2019 Freightliner operated by 27-year-old Edward Stephens of McDonough, Georgia. Debris from the crash then hit a 2020 Ford driven by 35-year-old Thomas Auston of Dunlap, Tennessee. Williamson and a passenger in her car, 33-year-old Octavia Lackey of Chattanooga, died at the scene. No injuries were reported to Stephens and Lackey.
