TVA EMPLOYEES VOLUNTARY BUYOUT OFFERS FIVE DAYS PAY FOR EACH YEAR WORKED
Last month it was announced that federal workers would be able to resign with temporary pay if they chose not to work under the executive orders given by the administration under President Donald Trump.
Initially, it seems the offer was not extended to workers in Tennessee Valley Authority, however recently it was announced that TVA employees who accept a voluntary buyout would be able to receive 5 days of pay for every year of service.
This information comes after a TVA spokesperson said that the administration’s buyout offer did not apply to Tennessee Valley authority employees.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Y-12 National Security Complex, and United Cleanup Oak Ridge have said that their workforces did not receive any memo with a deferred resignation offer. This is likely because ORNL and other sites in the Oak Ridge area are staffed largely by the employees of private Federal contractors rather than directly employed by the United States government.
