Roane County, TN- The Roane County Sheriff’s Department with the assistance of Kingston Police pulled over a U-Haul on Kentucky Street Monday evening resulting in the arrest of two individuals for possible theft of a vehicle.
According to Chief Deputy Tim Phillips, they received a report about a stolen U-Haul out of Knox County. Two men from New York allegedly used the U-Haul services to haul items they contract with a company, but did not return the U-Haul on a particular day. The U-Haul was located at the Rocky Top on Kentucky Street by an investigator.
The two were arrested and booked in around 7:30 last night. One of the individuals was identified as 56-year-old Kirt Lamar Dunson. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle of $10,000 up to $60,000 and simple possession or casual exchange. He is being held with no bond.

The other male was identified as 45- year old Joselito Lopez. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle of $10,000 up to 60,000.  He is also being held with no bond as well. Both are being held for a court date in Roane County.
