A two-car accident occurred Tuesday evening just after 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 70 and 27 near Hill’s Auto Parts. While no serious injuries were reported, the Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested one individual at the scene.

The driver, identified as 31-year-old Edixon Hernando Rincon, was charged with altering or falsifying the license plate on the vehicle he was driving. Rincon was booked into the Roane County Jail at approximately 9:00 p.m. and is being held without bond. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
