TWO COBB COUNTY OFFICERS DIE AFTER TRYING TO SERVE A WARRANT

Cobb County, GA- On Thursday night, two deputies died after attempting to serve a warrant. After knocking on the subject’s door and returning to the patrol car after no answer, a car pulled into the driveway behind the officers.  As the deputies moved to exit their car, shots were fired. Both of the officers died from gunshot wounds.

Two subjects have been arrested and the names of the two deputies, who had both been with the department for more than five years, are not being released until their entire families have been notified
