TWO COOKEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL JUVENILES ARRESTED FOR DISTRIBUTING AI-GENERATED EXPLICIT IMAGES
Two juveniles at Cookeville High School have been taken into custody following an investigation into the creation and distribution of sexually explicit images.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began on August 31st after officials were notified of potential image distribution at the school. Investigators discovered that the suspects used an Artificial Intelligence (AI) program to generate explicit content from photos found online, alongside distributing pre-existing explicit images stored on a phone.

Juvenile Suspect 1: Charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and one count of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Juvenile Suspect 2: Charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and two counts of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Both individuals were transported to the Putnam County Juvenile Detention Center.
