TWO ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION FOUND IN BATHROOM AT HIGH SCHOOL IN MCMINN COUNTY

This morning a Central High School student in McMinn County reported found 2 rounds of ammunition in the floor of a restroom. School officials and the student resource officer were notified.

The school was placed on “”soft lockdown”, in which classes continued but no one was allowed in the building. As a precaution, additional deputies were also on site.

“The soft lockdown was lifted before lunch. No other items have been located, and we will continue to have school today,” said McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy.

The incident remains under investigation.
