Yesterday, 1057 News brought you a story about a 5-year-old Bradley County girl battling stage 4 cancer.

Olivia Weatherford had surgery yesterday in an effort to remove the majority of the cancer. We are proud to report this morning the surgery was a success!

Doctors successfully removed just over 90% of Olivia’s cancer.

What was left was small enough to be treated.

Olivia is now recovering at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
