2:00 pm Outage Update: 7,271 accounts remain without power this afternoon. When the outage began yesterday, more than 22,000 accounts were offline, so approximately 2/3 of the initial outage has been restored. Currently, there are 77 line crews working on the accounts that are still out, with more crews on the way. We are still dealing with the phone line issues, so we would remind everyone to use the following numbers to report outages: Byrdstown – 931-864-3685, Jamestown – 931-879-5853, Monterey – 931-839-2217, and Crossville – 931-484-3527. Once connected, just dial 0 to transfer to the customer service center. Also, we know everyone would like an update on their specific outage and an estimate for restoration, but because the damage is so widespread, we are still not able to provide that level of detail at this time. As more accounts are restored later this evening, we should be able to give more information for those accounts that are still out of power. In the meantime, we would only encourage everyone to remain patient as our line workers continue making repairs to the system.
