VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 68 SENDS DRIVER TO U.T. MEDICAL CENTER

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released a report this morning of a recent two vehicle accident on Highway 68 in Meigs County. Troopers say a 1995 Ford driven by William T. Owings of Spring City ran a stop sign at the intersection with River Road near Watts Bar and was struck by an oncoming 2003 Ford Mustang operated by Noah J. McFalls of Decatur, Tennessee. Owings was flown by an air medical helicopter to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of serious injuries. McFalls was taken by ambulance to Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.
