The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to an accident near the intersection of Highway 11 and County Road 114 in McMinn County late yesterday. A 2004 Pontiac driven by 20-year-old Courtney Colon of Etowah collided with an ambulance that was transporting a patient at the time. The emergency vehicle was running its emergency lights and siren at the time of the crash. Colon and two children in her car were rushed to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained.
