Virginia Sue Fritts, age 78, of Rockwood, passed away March 30, 2021. She was born April 21, 1942 in Harriman. Mrs. Fritts was a member of the Emory Gap Baptist Church in Harriman. She had retired from Roane State Community College and was formerly a supervisor with Palm Beach Mills in Rockwood. She was preceded in death by her parents: Troy & Charlene Poole; and brothers: Buddy Poole and Ronnie Poole. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years: Kenneth Fritts of Rockwood; children: Mike (Sandra) Fritts of Rocky Face, Georgia, Darryl (Sheila) Fritts of Harriman, Karen (Billy) Breazeale of Rockwood, and Tracie (Vince) Jackson of Kingston; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters-in-law: Gary (Donna) Poole of Kingston and Larry (Lauren) Poole of Kingston; sister: Mary Ann Lowery of Harriman; and many other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral services will follow. Private family committal services will be held in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. For memorial contributions, the family recommends floral arrangements, or financial contributions to Alzheimer’s Tennessee or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
